WOW! That is amazing! Cine footage of those days must be a rarity! Going back even further, when I was a yoof (please- no 'Before the war' jokes!) no scooter kids took a camera out with them! They were big bulky things (the cameras, not the kids! Though come to think of it, some of the guys were as well!) and usually they belonged to your parents! Also, as a sixteen year old on six or eight quid a week, these was no spare cash to spend on boring things like getting films developed! Consequently, rather sadly, I have no pics of me and my scoots back in the sixties!
Of course, nowadays in the digital age, everybody has a camera of some sort on them, and captured images are often regarded as throw away items, usually ending up in the recycle bin!

You try telling that to the young people of today- will they beleive you?? No!

you know what really p****s me off about old pics?

I only had two pics of my first scooter way back in 1969, showing me and the girl that was to become my first wife.

We had a "Media Day" a few years back (filming Pulling Power possibly) and I was chatting to a Daily Mail journalist who wanted to do an article on scooters in the 1960's- did I have any old pix?

"Yes" says I, so I sent them off to him, and that was the last I ever saw of them- no copies; no negs, just the old memories..........

rant over
