BRISTOL MINI DAY

Postby Jim » Sun Jun 01, 2008 7:10 pm

Although the weather forecast was not good, there was a very impressive turnout at the Arnolfini this morning for the ride to the Mini Day at Puxton Park- well done and thanks to everyone for your enthusiasm!- I counted fifteen scoots, and despite a bit of a starting problem with Russ's,(a quick plug change did the trick!), it was pretty much a trouble free ride. Also riding with us for the first time was Richard,(is that three Rich's in the club?) on a rather tasty series two LI 125- nice to have you with us mate, pity it wasn't a nice sunny day, but hope you enjoyed it all the same!

We were joined by Gary and Gerry near the site, and a few more scoots joined us inside- twenty in total, which made a great line up for the mini enthusiasts to admire. However, not long after we got there, it started to rain and this somewhat put the dampers on the day! We endured the rain for a while, and after a look round the site and a bite to eat, it was generally agreed to call it a day- some returning to Bristol, and a few going on to WSM.

Didn't manage to get many photos before it started to rain-

So, despite the crap weather, still a good day, and nice to get out on the scoots! However, there is always a silver lining to every cloud- and here it is-
