End of an era

Just heard that Levi Stubbs, lead singer of The Four Tops has died aged 72.

That is really sad news. If I had to choose one act that represented the Locarno era, then for me it would have to be The Four Tops. Levi's soulful voice was perfect for the Motown sound. If there is such a thing as a musical legend, then Levi is exactly that!

Absolute class Jim.

In this world of "Superstars", people need to reflect on what a true "Star" was. Levi Stubbs and the rest of The Four Tops were just that......

Lets hope Bernie can do a short tribute to them in November.

having just watched some of the vids i'm glad i was a teenager back then, what some truly magical sounds, respect levi and the guys :stomp:
