Rideout To Bath, Sunday 10th May

Postby Jim » Mon May 11, 2009 8:55 am

Another great day (apart from the 4X4 incident!) with eleven of us meeting up at Fowlers carpark. Of course, loads of bikers meet there for their rideouts, so we were getting quite a few glances from the biker boys.

Weather was good, which makes any ride OK, and a pleasant time was had in Bath where we met up with Nita. We stopped off at Bitton railway station on the way back, where Phil had a bit of slipping trunnion problem, and then we went to the Lock Keepers Inn at Keynsham for a pint and a discussion with a women driver!!

Here's a clip of us chillin' in Milsom Street,

And here's Phil taking his pigeons for a ride- we have contacted the RSPCB! You'll also see a nice Moggy Minor and a vehicle which Steve H might be interested in buying!

Jim

No Thanks! Those old Double Deckers are hard work, gave up driving them 30 years ago!

Though I did buy a new `Toy` this weekend, which is why I couldn`t make the rideout Sunday. Will post a pic or two soon, meanwhile keep you guessing.

Four wheels.

But it`s not a car / van

Comments so far:
From the wife: You`ll kill yourself on that thing!
From the kids: (Shaking their heads) Can`t you just accept getting old!

Post a pic soon

Maybe your kids are right- skateboardin' at your age could be dangerous!

Nice one! Steve the Quad Mod! Is it correct that you can legally ride these without a crash helmet??

Correct Jim. As it has 4 wheels it is classed as a car in the eyes of the law, hence no need for a crash hat. Though interestingly if you don`t have a car licence you can drive it on a full bike licence.
