The Volksfest Rideout

Postby Jim » Sun Jun 07, 2009 10:44 pm

A good number of scoots turned up at the Arnolfini this morning (Sunday 7th June) considering the really bad weather forecast of heavy rain for the day. Also a few guys couldn't make it because of other commitments- no probs, there's always next time!

Actually, the weather turned out to be OK, and we didn't see any rain, and the sun came out for a good time- talk about having faith, it was a case of the BMSC improving weather picture!

The ride there was not without it's problems- myself and Rich P were riding side by side when we heard the dreaded sound of a spotlight hitting the road (the Mod scooterist's nightmare!)- after an abrupt stop and a quick stock check, it was one of Rich's spots that had fallen off, leaving a bit of a gap in his perfect arrangement of chrome, but we did manage to fill it with something! Also Paul (vespa) had a bit of a stop/ go sort of ride- possible fuel blockage but not too critical!

Here's just a few pics.(See Myk's for proper ones!)

Nicely filling the gap in Rich's accessories!

And a short Youtube vid- you'll see us in the first bit desperately trying to keep up with a guy on a pushbike, but we just couldn't match his speed and gave up!

Thanx, see you next time.

FAO Jim

I have a short video of you guys leaving the site but it's not been uploaded to YouTube or Flickr/Imageshack etc.

Can I email the file to you and let you upload it to YouTube....or can you suggest another route?

I know I can upload the video to Flickr and then link to here....but then it's only people on here that get to see it....and I'd rather it was on YouTube.

I've not looked into opening a YouTube account....Is it an easy thing to do, as in uploading the video from My Pictures.

Hope that makes sense.

Cheers in advance 8-)
