Chris Brown has recently brought out a book, 'Booted And Suited', which is a second edition of his first book, 'Bovver'. In it he writes about what really went on in the seventies, recalled from his own experience and also from researched stories from others, who like him, were living in the Bristol area at that time.

Chris also talks about what went on in the late sixties, and Colin Birch, Steve Holloway, Chris Powell and myself contributed a few of our experiences which are featured in the book.

I've only just started to read this book, and I'm finding it compulsive reading- really great stuff! If you were around at that time, you'll find all the local references to the Bristol scene a fascinating trip down memory lane! Or if you want to find out about the mod/ bovver boy through to the skinhead football scene in Bristol, then you really should get this book!
