Bristol Mod Scooter Club

Yet another excellent turnout from the club for The Bristol Bike Show (Saturday 15th Aug) and as usual we presented a smashing line up of scoots, which was very much appreciated by the camera toting general public and all the bikers!

Yet again we won the prize for the Best Club Stand, for the forth year running according to Gerry, and thanks must go to Des for bringing his gazebo, although it was transported on Rich P's scooter- thanks Rich, we knew that Jimmy backrest would come in handy!

So well done to everybody, all the scoots looked fantastic, (Norm doing his 'on- site' buffing as usual!) and hard luck to those who couldn't get to the show for whatever reason.

There was plenty of eardrum shattering engine revving going on from the bikers, but we gave 'em a good run for their money with our horns, with Mike doing a pretty good job of 'out- blasting' the Blood Bike guy with his siren! (Apologies to all 'plain' scooterists!)

A well organised event as in previous years- well done and thank you to the organising team for setting the whole thing up, and we all look forward to next years show.

Oh yeah, there were a few motorbikes there- the chromework on this monster was mindboggling!

who won best scoot ?

I think it was the 1952 Lambretta D , witch was parked around the corner with the motor bikes( it did look more like a motor bike)they perhapes dont like lights and mirrors.Nooooooo :puzzled:

I've just posted the Youtube vid of us at the Bike Show, but I have another, all ready to upload to Youtube- Gerry knows what I'm talking about- It's the lovely girl that stopped to look at our scoots, and I mean she is seriously DROP DEAD GORGEOUS!!

However, I think you guys need to bribe me a bit to upload it with something a bit special, maybe free tea at the hut for a year or whatever you think it might take!
