Do you know much about Vespa Frame Numbers ?

Postby davetheoldmod » Thu Jul 12, 2012 1:12 pm

Reason I ask is because I am looking at a resto on ebay, item no is 280913701083. The logbook says frame and engine begin with LA and seller is purposely hiding the numbers.Loggy says 125cc. MOT says 150cc.According to Vespa bible, whatever model it is, no's begin with V.The geezer told me not to bid if worried about no's ( been to Basil Fawlty Charm School) Anybody throw any more light on this? :puzzled: :puzzled: :puzzled:

Dave,

Know nothing about Vespa frome numbers but found this site http://www.vespaspares.co.uk/spares/vinlist.asp
which lists VIN numbers for spares purposes.

There is a VLA mentioned corresponding to 150GL, if thats linked to the frame number ??
