Ride To Bristol Volksfest - Sunday 8th June

Postby Jim » Sun Jun 01, 2014 10:48 am

The annual Bristol Volksfest is taking place this coming weekend - 6th, 7th and 8th June with lot's of stuff going on right the way through, and we are having a club ride out there on the Sunday to show our scooters.

The Volksfest is always a fantastic event, with loads of cool classic VWs on show, from old Beetles right through to fully restored 'Splitty' campervans - a really stunning display! As usual there will also be lots of food stalls, automobile trade stands and autojumble, so lots to look at!

We'll be meeting up at the Arnolfini on the Sunday morning at 11:00am, leaving around 11:30 to ride to the Volksfest at Washingpool Farm in Easter Compton.

If you want some more info, have a look at their website-

Well done and many thanks to all that turned up at the Arnolfini for our ride to the Volksfest!

An excellent turnout and really good to see some new faces and scooters!

Also good to see Rich P on his scoot again, still looking good! We had a good ride there in a nice bit of sunshine with just the one breakdown on the way - just a snapped gear cable, so nothing too serious!

The Volksfest seemed really crowded this year, with loads of interesting cars and campervans on show.

We just left as the clouds were darkening, so I hope everybody got home safe and didn't get too wet!

Oh well, least we had a few hours sunshine!

Thanks again, hope you all had a good day, and hope to see you all again soon.
