Except that the North East Bristol contingent got hit by the most horrendous hailstorm and downpour I've seen in years, on the way home. We were battling through hailstones in Bradley Stoke and Patchway, and Downend must have had an inch of rain in 15 minutes. As we all went our separate ways I got to Kingswood High Street and the rain stopped. Turned the corner into Hanham Road and not only was it sunny, it obviously hadn't rained there at all. When I got back my Mrs said what happened to you you're soaked. She was gobsmacked when I explained - no rain at all in Longwell Green.
I just hope I haven't shrunk.
