Bristol Bike Show Saturday August 16th

Postby Jim » Sun Aug 10, 2014 10:21 am

The Bristol Bike Show is taking place this coming Saturday, and we will be showing our scooters there as usual as we have done for many years.

We'll be in our usual spot, on the corner at the top end of Corn Street. Last year we won Best Club Stand and Clive won Best Scooter with his lovely TV 200, against a lot of stiff competition, so your participation would be greatly appreciated. There are loads of stunning motorbikes on show, so plenty to look at and as this event is free to get into, it is always very well attended by the general public!

Being a public event, there are Public Safety guidelines to adhere to - here's what the organizers say-

NO moving vehicles between 09.00 and 16.30 - 17.00
Any vehicles wishing to enter or leave the show between these times will either have to be pushed in / out, or in exceptional circumstances, ridden at walking pace with a marshal, & this will be at the discretion of marshals and market staff at the time

So please aim to be onsite with your scooter well before 9:00am! However, if you are held up for whatever reason, still bring your scooter along and you will still be allowed in.

Here are the main details again-

WE ARE SHOWING OUR SCOOTERS

AT THE BRISTOL BIKE SHOW

THIS SATURDAY 16TH AUGUST

IN THE CORN STREET AREA

PLEASE GET YOUR SCOOTER THERE

WELL BEFORE 9:00AM

This annual show is organized by the Bristol branch of the Motorcycle Action Group, who bring attention to the various issues that confront motorcyclists and scooterists and are frequently involved in campaigns on our behalf.

They are doing an important job, so even more reason to support them and this show by bringing your scooter along and joining in - the more the merrier!

If you want to see what the MAG are all about, here's a link to their website-

If you can't make it with your scoot, why not come on down for a look around and say hello!

Any probs - feel free to give me a call on 07816 194736

Looking forward to seeing you all there on the day!

Jim,

Sorry I won't be able to make the Bike Show this time round, as the wife and I are invading Belgium tomorrow and won't be back until Tuesday.
Weather forecast looks much improved though, so hope there's a good turnout.

Big thanx to all who took time out to turn up and support us and show their scoots at what was another successful Bike Show, as usual very well organized by the MAG, so well done to them for all their time and effort in making it all happen.

Weather was good with a lot of sunshine, and this ensured it was a well attended event, with the area crowded by the general public throughout the whole of the day.

Lots of stunning bikes and scooters on show as expected and this year the Best Scooter prize was awarded to a nice old LD on the BLC stand, so congratulations to them.

Special thank - you goes to Des for bringing along his gazebo on the back of his scoot - hope you made it home OK Des with your 'wide load'!

See you all next time!
