October - Wot's occuring?

Postby Jim » Thu Oct 02, 2014 8:37 am

We' should be nearing the end of the scootering summer season, but the exceptionally good weather in September has seen lots of rides in warm sunshine, so this year's summer has certainly been extended! Things are beginning to wind down a bit now but there are still a few events on our diary!

SATURDAY 11TH - BERNIES BIG NIGHT OUT

Bernie is gigging on just about every Friday and Saturday this month somewhere in the Bristol area, and on this date he is appearing at the famous 'Hawaiian Bar' at The Sportsmans pub in Colston Street! Bernie has a very loyal following and he never fails to put on a brilliant show - Northern Soul, Tamla, Reggae, Bluebeat, R & B and more! The Hawaiian Bar has an awesome dancefloor, bargain price booze for a city centre bar, friendly crowd and an amazing atmosphere! This is a really good opportunity to meet up with fellow scooterists for a chat and a few pints whilst enjoying the fabulous music! A great night is guaranteed!

SUNDAY 12TH - CLUB RIDE

We will be meeting up at the Arnolfini for a coffee and a chinwag. If the weather is good, we might ride out of town for a pint of shandy! (Yes, you're right - we can be a bit reckless at times!) Meet up time will be posted on this forum a bit nearer the day.

SUNDAY 19TH - HOGGIN' THE BRIDGE

This is an annual charity fund raising event which is based around thousands of bikers riding across the old Severn Bridge and ending up in Chepstow. We've been taking part in this event for several years, and each year sees more and more scooterists taking part! It really is a great ride and good fun and very well supported by the general public. So try and join in if you can, it really is an enjoyable day! Meet up time and place will be posted on this forum a bit nearer the day.

Looking forward to seeing you all at some point! Take care and ride safe!
