April - what's happening!

Postby Jim » Sat Mar 28, 2015 12:06 pm

We're now in British Summertime, the days are getting longer, spring is in the air, weather warming up nicely and it's time to look at what we are doing in April!

EASTER BANK HOLIDAY RIDE TO WESTON SUPER MARE
All being well we will be having our traditional ride to WSM on Easter Monday 6th April, meeting at The Arnolfini at 11:30am for midday departure. However, if the weather looks bad for the Monday, we might do this ride on the Sunday instead! We should get a better idea by mid week, so check out this forum in a few days time! We thought that there's no point to sticking to Monday if rain is forecast, and the Sunday is dry and sunny! (Of course, it might be wet on both days!!)

BERNIE'S BIG NIGHT OUT - SATURDAY 11TH
Top DJ Bernie puts on another amazing BIG NIGHT OUT. It's being held in the now famous Hawaiian Bar at The Sportsman pub in Colston Street. Well priced drinks, super old skool dance floor, always a good crowd with a very friendly atmosphere - combine all that with Bernie spinning all the classic old sounds all on vinyl, you know it's going to be a fantastic night! See Bernie's flyer on our Gigs page for more info.

SUNDAY 12TH
This is our regular ride which takes place every second Sunday of the month. We will be meeting at The Arnolfini at 11:30am for midday departure. probably going for a ride to Bitton Railway Station for a cup of tea! (yes I know, it does sound exciting!)

SATURDAY 25TH - BIAMF
The Bristol Italian Auto Moto Festival will be taking place in Corn Street, and we will be parking in our usual place. This really is a great day, lots of Italian vehicles on show, so plenty to look at! You need to be there with your scooter by 9:00am. However, if you can't make it for the whole day, you can join us later on in the day but you may have to push your scooter into Corn Street. The marshals will advise you as you enter. (Health and Safety etc. etc.!) If you can't make it with your scooter, why not drop by and have a look around - it's free entry!

Lambo and Lammies - lovely!

I'll be posting up a reminder on this forum with more info during the week leading up to each event.

Feel free to give me a call if you have any questions or suggestions.

Looking forward to seeing you all out and about on the scoots!

Take care and ride safe!
