June - What's going on?
Posted: Mon May 30, 2016 8:58 amQuite a lot actually ! We usually see some nice weather in June and it's always a busy month for scootering, so hopefully there's some really good opportunities to get out on the scoots !
Here is what's in our diary for June -
SATURDAY 11TH - BERNIE'S BIG NIGHT OUT
Top DJ BERNIE is usually playing his old 45s most Saturday nights, and tonight he will be at THE HAWAIIAN BAR at The Sportsman's pub. Always a very friendly crowd, fantastic music, fab dance floor and well priced drinks ! Guaranteed to be a great night !
SUNDAY 12TH - OUR MONTHLY MEET UP
We'll be meeting up at The Arnolfini at 11:00pm and all being well going for a ride around midday ! If the sun is out, maybe Clevedon for an ice-cream or to a country pub for a shandy !
SATURDAY 18TH - PORTISHEAD CARNIVAL
All the local scooterists lead the procession through Portishead, ending up at the showground where there's lots of stuff going on, including a beer tent ! This event is always good fun and well worth taking part ! Meet up details will be posted up on this forum the week before !
SUNDAY 19TH - RIDE TO THE VOLKSFEST
The Volksfest is on over the whole weekend at WASHINGPOOL FARM EASTER COMPTON, and every year we ride there and show our scoots ! This very successful event is always well attended, and there are hundreds of VWs on show, as well as lots of other interesting stalls to look at ! Meet up details will be posted up on this forum the week before !
There may well be other dates or meet ups added as we go through the month, so keep an eye on this forum for any updates! If you know of anything else that might be good for us to go to, please let me know and we'll have a think about it !
AND AS ALWAYS, IT'S A GOOD IDEA TO CHECK ON THIS FORUM BEFORE SETTING OFF ON YER SCOOT JUST IN CASE ANY INFO HAS BEEN CHANGED !
