Santa's On A Bike - Saturday 3rd December

Postby Jim » Sat Nov 26, 2016 9:09 am

You know that Christmas is just around the corner when the Santa's On A Bike charity ride takes place, and this year it is happening on Saturday 3rd December.

This ride is always very well attended, with hundreds of bikers ( and a good few scooter guys ) riding to The Children's Hospice at Charlton Farm, Wraxall near Bristol, where presents and collected cash are donated. A very worthy cause, I'm sure you will agree!

Taken from their website -
Many groups and solo riders set off from all around the Bristol area, all meeting up at Dick Lovetts car park at Cribbs Causeway. Departing from there around 1:00pm, riding across the Crow Lane roundabout following A4018 onto Falcondale Road continue A4108 to White Tree roundabout, across the Downs to Blackboy Hill and down White Ladies Road, through the Triangle turning right down Park Street. A round Bristol Centre. On to Anchor road along to Hotwells over Cumberland basin onto Brunel way turning left to the Long Ashton Park and Ride. We will re-group in the Long Ashton Park and Ride before continuing along the B3128 Clevedon Rd to the Children’s Hospice at Wraxhall for 2.15pm.

Refreshments, tea coffee etc. will be available at Dick Lovetts.

This year will be the 12th Santa's On A Bike event! As you can imagine, it's quite a spectacle with this massive group of bikes and scooters riding through Bristol, with lots of guys wearing Father Christmas outfits, although wearing them is optional !!

So Here's our plan-

MEET UP IN DICK LOVETT'S CAR PARK

AT CRIBBS CAUSEWAY BRISTOL

SATURDAY 3RD DECEMBER

BETWEEN 11:30AM and MIDDAY

DEPARTING AROUND 1:00PM

TO RIDE TO LONG ASTON PARK AND RIDE.

More info here on The Santa's On A Bike website-

So why not come along, drop some dosh into the collection bucket, and join in the fun!

We could peel off at The Centre, and stop off somewhere for a pre Christmas drink!

Hope to see you at Dick's!

Take care and ride safe!
