October already! What's happening?

Postby Jim » Sun Oct 01, 2017 8:32 am

October has arrived, and we now have to admit that summer has finally ended! Still, we can look back on some really great scootering times over the last six months or so, in particular, the August Bank Holiday weekend! Wow, what amazing weather!

Enough of looking back, let's have a look at what October has in store for us! Obviously there is less going on this time of year, but don't lock yer scoot up in the garage just yet - here's what we've got planned!

This annual ride across The Old Severn Bridge gets bigger every year! A really good charity event and always great fun! Your chance to ride with hundreds of bikers, this year ending up in the exciting new venue of Caldicot Castle! We'll be meeting up at Morrisons at Cribbs Causeway at 10:00am departing around 10:30ish.
This ride is usually held in mid to late October, so please take note of the earlier date for this year!

As you may have noticed, this year The Hoggin' The Bridge ride falls on the second Sunday of the month, which is our customary day for meeting up at The Arnolfini. As we'll be out Hoggin' The Bridge on this date, we will now be meeting up at The Arnolfini on Sunday the 15th of October, at 11:00am for coffee and chat. If weather is OK, leaving around midday for a ride.

Keep an eye on this forum for more info!

October is the last chance to ride around in British Summer Time, as the clocks change at the end of the month, so why not make the most of it before the dark gloomy winter sets in!

And as always, please take great care and ride safe!
