BMSC 2018 DIARY

Postby Jim » Sat Feb 10, 2018 9:58 am

Here is the list of our events and rides for 2018.

This year we have simplified things a bit by not pre-planning rides too far ahead for our Second Sunday meet ups. Instead we'll see what the weather looks like as the day approaches and go from there. However, nothing is written in stone and anything might change!

Colin's Ride will be on Sunday 8th July, and on that day we will be riding to Wells and Glastonbury in his honour!

On most occasions, we'll be meeting up around 11:00am at The Arnolfini as we have done in recent years, and departing for a ride around midday, although these times might vary.

Ian has kindly agreed to help out and post up the details for these meet ups. Occasionally we'll be meeting at a different venue, so watch out for Ian's postings for any updates!

This list may well be subject to change, as some dates have yet to be confirmed.

Feb Sun 11th - 2nd Sunday Meet up
Mar Sun 11th - 2nd Sunday Meet up
Apr Sun 1st - Easter Ride to WSM
Apr Sun 8th - 2nd Sunday Meet up
Apr Sat 28th - Modernist's Weekend Bristol Rideout
May Mon 7th - Iron Acton Mayday Festival
May Sun 13th - 2nd Sunday Meet up
June Sun 10th - 2nd Sunday Meet up
June Sat 16th - Volksfest
July Sun 8th - 2nd Sunday / Colin's ride
Aug Sun 12th - 2nd Sunday Meet up
Aug Sat 18th - Bike Show
Aug Bank Hol - 25th/26th/27th
Sep Sun 9th - 2nd Sunday Meet up
Oct Sun 7th - Hoggin' The Bridge
Oct Sun 14th - Second Sunday Meet up

All the relevant information will be posted on here as each event approaches.

Other dates may well be added as we go through the year.

Rally dates haven't beeen included as anybody going usually make their own arrangements.

Also watch out for details for impromtu meet ups! For example, if the weather looks particularly good for a weekend when we don't have anything planned in our diary, we might arrange something for the Saturday or Sunday.

It's always a good idea to check out this forum before setting off on your scooter, just in case any of the details have changed or the event has been cancelled or postponed.

Here's hoping we get some decent weather this year for some really great days out on the scoots!

And as always, please take great care and ride really safely!
