Postby Jim » Sat Feb 23, 2019 12:00 pm

The Bristol Modernist And Sixties Weekender event is taking place on Friday 15th and Saturday 16th March.

The two night time events are ticket only, and the tickets are just about sold out! You can check out availability and other info on The Suit Yourself Modernist Culture Facebook page-

https://www.facebook.com/suityourselfmodernists/

and at http://www.suityourselfmodernists.com

On the Saturday there are also two parallel afternoon events, including a scooter 'Ride In' to the venues-

The Ostrich Inn, which is an open free event, and The Louisiana, which is ticket only entrance.

At The Ostrich, there will be ample scooter parking where there will be DJs, book signings and a raffle / collection in aid of Prostate Cancer UK.

MEET UP BY THE WATER TOWER ON THE DOWNS

ON SATURDAY 16TH MARCH

Really good weekend despite Storm Gareth trying his hardest to disrupt everything!

The two night time events were very well supported and very much enjoyed by all who attended!

Considering the bad weather forecast for Saturday we actually had a pretty good show of scoots on The Downs for the Ride In to the daytime event, and luckily we all managed to stay dry as the rain finally arrived much later on in the day after the event!

The raffle raised £263.83 which is going to be donated to Prostate Cancer UK. Many thanks to all who bought tickets!

Also thanks must go to Cris Davies from Suit Yourself Modernists for arranging everything and of course many thanks to everyone who took part and supported the event!
