Some of you may have seen the new magazine "Detail" (a magazine for modernists!). Its got loads of very good, short articles that are right up our street.
Edition 1 came out a few weeks ago and the 2nd edition isn't until next Spring.

Anyway - there's a advert in there for this book - Welsh Mod, which I bought online.
Its got interviews with loads of "old" mods - their story will resonate with all of us.
A few faces in there some will recognise - not least, Steve Garland, whom I remember well coming along to our early ride outs dressed up to the nines.

Highly recommended.
Cheers boy
Norm

Another good read Norman, and this one is right up your street, is NO JEANS! NO GREENS! NO CASUALS! Researched and compiled by Roger Allen, it documents the London scooter clubs scene 1979 - 1985.

Printed in an unusual typewriter font, with plenty of first hand accounts of what went on back then, this paperback has plenty to interest any scooterist, with lots of good old photographs from back in the day.

Available on Ebay, it can be purchased as just the book or de-luxe option which includes a pretty good CD of "Modernist" music. This book has been dedicated to the memory of iconic London Mod DJ Tony Class who sadly passed away back in 2014. We actually met Tony on one of our London scootering expeditions just before Christmas the year before, and he actually took us round to Roger Daltry's town house to meet him, although unfortunately Roger wasn't at home at the time! (Still makes an interesting tale!)

All proceeds going to the Poppy Appeal, so why not log onto Ebay and get yourself a copy!

Cheers and all the best!
