Memorial to Graham Clark

Postby Steve Holloway » Mon Oct 19, 2020 11:12 am

As most of you know, Graham was a regular visitor to the Isle of Wight for the August Bank Holiday Rally. Most evenings we would frequent The Royal Pier Hotel (God`s Waiting Room!) at Sandown Sea Front

Whilst I was there this year I noticed that several engraved tiles (about 12 inch sq) had been fixed to the sea wall at Sandown in memory of loved one`s. This is known as `The Sandown Honours Trail` (Google it to find out more)

I`ve taken the liberty of enquiring re costs etc: It`s a one off cost of £55 for an engraved tile, the tile will remain in place for as long as it lasts, or until the wall falls down! (that was exactly what I was told!)

I`ve checked with our club treasurer and funds are available

What does everyone think?

Excellent idea Steve. I certainly have no objection to this and it's a great way to provide a memorial for Graham.

Yes - good idea, Steve. Total agreement from me.
As Club Treasurer, I can advise that we have funds to cover it, too.

Thanks Ian, Des, Nick and Norm. I`ve also had a text from Squeak. Now I know we are all in support of this I will crack on and get it sorted. I`m sure the tile will be in place by next August when some of us will be there :riding:
