Hi All

Hope everyone remains fit and well

Following yesterday`s (Mon 17th May) easing of Covid restrictions, it would seem that we now have (officially!) more freedom to get out and about on our Scoots

I`ve noticed one or two events planned over the next few weeks that might be of interest to us, for instance: Sunday 30th May, Classic Car Meet at Cheddar Gorge (10am - 1pm)
Maybe somewhere for a decent ride, and drool over cars that we might of once owned?

Later in the year we have our old friend `Bristol Volksfest` 5th - 8th Aug, where we always receive a warm welcome. Of course later that month there is the Isle of Wight Rally and the Brighton Mod Weekender, both appear to be officially going ahead this year There is a strong contingent from BMSC going to IoW, I`m sure it will be the same for Brighton

Meanwhile we have the whole of June and July to get on our scoots and make the most of Summer, and our new found freedom!

Anyone have any ideas for meet ups / ride outs?

any ride out i am usually up for, but on my last posting i put i cant do 30th may as 2nd covid jab for the boss and i am the driver , but we could meet bank holiday and ride portishead / cleevdon /weston ???? but please dont let my absence stop any plans , it would be nice if the weather played a part aswell , how about the torquay day out later on in the year that was fun, Mmmmmmm! fish and chips

Sunday 30th isn`t set in stone, I just threw it in as an idea, tbh I forgot it`s Bank Holiday Monday the next day, so we could easily do something that day instead

Torquay has always been a good day over the years

Torquay has always been a good rideout, also enjoyed West Bay run,could do same but drive opposite direction to Weymouth,
But always good to go anywhere for rideout.
Another good ride was around the lakes,stopping at Blagdon lakes for refreshments.
Any other ideas!

Ian the ride around the lakes sounds good would like to give that a go

well lets set the ball rolling then Ian, weather permitting can anyone make bank holiday Monday 31st may, whatever time 11-12 ?? from the arno ??, I know we have a bit of a joke about not being able to make certain events, because of other commitments,I cant do next Sunday because I have to take the boss for her 2nd covid jab and if I dont I might be looking for a rabies jab for myself, so if its more convenient to do the ride sunday please carry on, keep an eye on the forum for more info and fingers crossed for that big orange thing in the sky to stick its frigging head out,I have just had a new hearing aid fitted, its made from pigs skin, works perfect, but now and then you get a bit of crackling in your ear,all the best for now, chilly

Don't know what the weather will be on Bank Holiday Monday, But let's say, meet at the Arno at 10:30 to 11:00, to leave by 11:30 for
a ride out around the lakes! taking in a refreshment stop at the Druid Arms at Chew Magna,then on to the New inn at Blagdon lake,is

Hi guys,can't make Monday as I'm working ! I will be going down Arno Sunday 1230 ish for a coffee if anyone wants to join me ! Hey you guys why not do Sunday for an hour then your ride out on the Monday also ( if the Mrs allows) !

Will try to get there for Sunday. Op on my hand seems good but not sure about riding. Be a good chance to test it before a longer ride.
