SCOOTER RESPRAYS

Postby Colin » Wed Aug 24, 2011 7:30 pm

Gerry and myself were talking to a couple of guys at the bike show about
Resraying and customising Scooter paintwork.
They were talking about £800 for a complete strip, shotblast and two tone paint job in most colours. Turnaround time around 2 weeks.
They can be contacted on 07729 459525 and are called " Motorcycle Paint Works "
and are based in the area. Give em a call if your interested quoting Bristol Mods Scooter Club.

no disrespect to those guys, but I bet they don't know how many parts are involved and I doubt if they've actually done a full Lambretta blast, prep, and spray. If they have, then they are very good value for money.

Will they actually strip the scooter for that price as well

understand your concerns but, they have done many scoots and know what they are doing, they are classic car specialists but with the new regs on spraying, it could cost easly 2000 smackers for a blow over, and they can see that scooters although they are a lot of farting around with are really small things to spray and a small amount of paint compared to a car and thats where the higher costs start taking affect, so rather than sit on there ass and wait for a car to come along they have been doing scoots, nice work to have seen there work, they have inhouse shot blasting too, he uses walnut shells to protect the metal, he knows his job,,will be giving them a go in new year
