BIAMF - Saturday 22nd April + Sunday Ride.

Postby Jim » Sun Apr 16, 2017 7:21 pm

It's The Bristol Italian Auto Moto Festival this Saturday 22nd April, and as usual, we will be taking part and showing our scooters.

Despite spiraling costs and the ever increasing administration involved, the organizors have again successfully managed to put on this fantastic event, and as always, it is totally free admission to the general public.

The Corn Street and St. Nicholas market area of central Bristol will be full of amazing Italian vehicles, both old and new, including cars, motorbikes and of course, scooters!

We will be parked in the same spot as last year, near the corner at the top end of Corn Street, next to the Fowlers Motorbike stand. This year BIAMF is celebrating the 70th anniversaries of Ferrari and Lambretta, so you really need to be there and take part with your scooter, or Ferrari !!

We need to be in place and parked up by 9:00am, but if you are held up a little, it's still OK to enter the display area. There will be marshals on every entrance, and they will be able to give you assistance should it be required.

Here's the main details-

THE BRISTOL ITALIAN AUTO MOTO FESTIVAL

IS TAKING PLACE THIS SATURDAY 22ND APRIL.

WE WILL BE PARKED IN CORN STREET.

PLEASE TRY AND BE THERE BEFORE 9:00AM.

Hope you can join us on this very busy and exciting weekend!

Looking forward to seeing you all!

Take care and ride safe!

Thanks Ian - that's great!

The Italian Automoto Club have just advised everyone that because of all the on-going ( never-ending !) road works around the city centre area, we can only use St. Nicholas Street and St. Stevens Street to enter Corn Street.

Both of these entrances will be marshalled so just look out for them and follow their instructions!

As already said, please try and all be there well before 9:00am.

And please take care when riding into the event area as there will be a lot going on with cars reversing into their parking places and folk setting out their stands!

Looking forward to seeing you and all the other guys on Saturday!

Another very successful and enjoyable Bristol Italian Auto Moto Festival today, Saturday 22nd April.

Weather was kind, a little on the cool side first thing, but warmed up nicely later on in the day!

Plenty of fabulous Italian cars motorbikes and scooters were there, with large crowds of very appreciative spectators, as usual!

Representing our club were Des, Mike G, Danny, Steve H, Gerry, Ian, Tony, Clive, Norm, and Graham (and myself). Big thanks to all, especially Tony and Gerry who rode in from further afield, and commiserations to all the other guys who wanted to be there, but for a variety of reasons just couldn't make it!

Also well done to all the guys from all the other scooter clubs for turning up as well, and ensuring that the local Bristol scootering community was very well represented!

And of course, a massive thank-you must go to Paul Hanmore and his team of helpers and marshals for all the time and effort put into organizing it all and all their work in making the day go perfectly!
