Funeral Scooters Request.

Postby Jim » Fri Apr 28, 2017 6:40 pm

Lee Worthy has asked if we can help out at the funeral of Mark Gardiner, a Mod scooter riding old school chum of his.

It's Mark's family's request and wishes that as many scooters and riders escort Mark on his final journey.

The date of Mark's funeral is Wednesday 10th May.

On your scooter, you would have to be at the Thomas Davis Funeral Directors office in Shirehampton in good time to leave there at 9:30am, then ride to the family home, then onto Canford Cemetry.

This would mean a lot to the Gardiners, as scooters played a big part in their family life.

If you are able to attend on your scooter, please do so, as it would make a very sad day a bit happier.

Many thanks.

This was well supported by local scooter clubs, with a total of 13 scoots turning out to escort the hearse to the crematorium

A good turnout from BMSC members: Norm, Ian, Nick, and Myself, plus Rich Chilcott, Charlie Watson, Denbeigh, and of course Lee (apologies to the other guys there that I didn`t recognise or manage to talk with to get their names)

I`m sure all scooterists that attended will agree that it was gratifying to fulfil Mark`s family`s wishes and play a small part in his final journey
