Club Meet Up And Ride - Sunday 14th May

Postby Jim » Sun May 07, 2017 7:50 pm

It's our 'Second Sunday' meet up this coming Sunday, and we will be meeting up at The Arnolfini for a coffee, then riding over to Bath .

We rode to Bath last October, when we had a really good turnout and a cracking day out on the scoots. Let's hope the weather is OK and we can do the same again !

Pretty good turnout at The Arno yesterday (Sunday 14th May) and from there ten of us rode over to Bath.

Tried to park up in our usual spot but we were prevented from doing so by a very thorough policeman who decided we were'nt going to stop for one second! He was just about to call for back-up to deal with this gang of scooter yobbos when we rode off to the George Inn on the other side of Bath for refreshments.

Weather was OK for an hour or so but it did start to rain a bit but didn't come to much, so when it cleared up we splintered off from The George to make our way back home.

Myself, Barry and Mike P and Sue were the last to leave, and just as we were riding through Bath we felt the ping of the odd hailstone hitting our helmets, so we pulled over and parked up by a small local pub- then this happened-

The landlord came out to see what was happening, quoting the often heard phrase "I used to have one of those!" and with that invited us in for free coffee! So many thanks to Kelvin at The Crown Inn (?) for his kind hospitality!

All part of the fun of an early Summer rideout!

Take care and ride safe ( and dry! )
