I've had this book for a while.

If its an "Art and Style" photo album you're after, its ok - albeit a little contrived for most (Bristol) tastes, I suspect.

It has very little by way of interesting narrative - just the Foreword with Rob Bailey discussing Moderism and its variants with Paolo Hewitt.

A cautious recommendation, in summary.

:puzzled:

Cheers

Yeah, I'd agree with your review. Have just re-read Peter Moore's 'Vroom with a View'. 1st of two books he has written about travelling round Italy on an old vespa... not much about mods in there, but a good warming read as the nights draw in...

Just had a flick thru this book (Norm's copy!) and the series 1 lammie featured belonged to Steve Garland. He moved away (out of the country, I think) a few years ago. Steve truly was a full on 'mod' in every way, and I expect he still is! Here's a pic of him and Helen, with the scooter, during a film shoot for a TV program- 'Pulling Power', taken from our 'old' website.

And a pic I took at WSM- BMSC Easter rideout, not sure of the year!
