MY 60TH

Postby davetheoldmod » Sun Oct 17, 2010 8:15 am

Just a thank you to everyone who came down to Micky Lavins on Friday night to celebrate my birthday. I had a fantastic time and really enjoyed all the company. Liz informs me I prattled on with a speech, but as I was getting quite p******d at the time, I lost all sense of time, I gathered I reminised Jim, but that is what we all have to look forward to in our dotage apart from the odd rideout !!!! Looking forward to the next 10 years but hope they dont fly by too quick......Thanks to Bernie for the best music ever and to all who came. :scooter: :scooter: :scooter: :clapping: :clapping: :clapping:

Happy Birthday buddy!! We were wondering when you were going to resurface after your bash on Friday night! As you said, you supped quite a few celebratory mugs of ale, (cider?) and well deserved for being on this planet for such a long time!

Yep- Bernie was on great form as usual with a fantastic selection of 'oldies' (thats the records, not us lot, tho we ain't too bad!) and a good time was had by all. Of course, behind every great man there is a great woman and Liz is to be congratulated for putting up with you, and a big thank you to the pair of ya for putting on the lovely spread of party nosh!

So well done mate- here's to the next ten years of muckin' about on the scoots!

All the best for today. Jim.
